We are looking for a senior Power BI expert on a consultative / part-time basis to help our team define the right BI architecture, reporting model, security approach, and dashboards, and to advise the engineering team on implementation.

US-based culture enablement SaaS platform that helps organizations operationalize their core values through employee engagement, coaching, recognition, behavioral reinforcement, surveys, gamification, and analytics.
What is the team size and structure?
Our team consists of Project Manager, Solution Architect / Technical Lead, Senior Full-Stack / Backend Engineer, Power BI Specialist, and QA Engineer.
How many stages of the interview are there?
– Interview with the Recruiter – up to 30 min.
– Technical & solution-consulting interview.
Requirements and responsibilities
Hard skills
- 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or related areas.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI.
- Strong experience designing production Power BI architectures.
- Advanced knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Experience with Power BI in multi-user, multi-business-unit, or multi-tenant environments.
- Experience integrating Power BI with PostgreSQL or comparable relational databases.
- Understanding of Import, DirectQuery, composite models, and incrementalÂ
- refresh.
- Strong understanding of Power BI performance optimization.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with and mentor our Power BI specialist on the case by case basis.
- Review the current Power BI approach and proposed reporting architecture.
- Understand current system capabilities, data model, and available analytics data.
- Review the client’s reporting requests and determine their technical feasibility.
- Map client requirements to existing product data and identify gaps.
- Provide guidance on Power BI best practices and help establish consistent reporting standards.
- Collaborate with the Solution Architect and engineering team to align BI solutions with the overall application architecture.
