The challenge

Zerve approached Ralabs with a specific request: to extend their team with skilled resources for enhancing their existing software solution and helping build their vision for the user interface (UI).
The primary objective was to make the UI and user experience (UX) intuitive and efficient, especially for data scientists. This requirement emphasized not only the need for technical expertise but also the importance of integrating additional skilled resources through Team Augmentation to achieve these goals.

The project’s urgency was amplified by an upcoming critical demonstration at a major conference, adding pressure to deliver substantial improvements in a short timeframe. There were many atypical problems that required a detailed study and a reevaluation of development and design approaches for this revolutionary product.

What was done

In response to Zerve’s project requirements, their team, supplemented by our engineers, began a structured development phase. This phase included an analysis of competitors, the design of the brand identity, user flows, a clickable prototype, and functionalities. The emphasis was on simplifying the solution for end-users, especially data scientists.

The collaboration fostered the development of a design characterized by a functional, condensed aesthetic and ample interactive space, responding to the client’s request for a workspace conducive to simultaneous engagement.

This design approach prioritized usability and workflow efficiency, incorporating clean fonts and a clear workspace. A minimal design system was established for Zerve, facilitating the validation and development of new user flows. This strategy ensured the final product was functional and user-friendly, showcasing the joint effort of Zerve’s team and our engineering support.
