Personal stories of engineers
Team Lead
Based in Ukraine
I joined Ralabs in 2019 as a Middle Software Engineer, eager to grow and make a meaningful impact. From those early days, I immersed myself in complex projects, building my expertise
in Ruby on Rails, API integrations, and high-stakes performance optimization.
Over the years, Ralabs has been the perfect environment for me to expand my skills, and each new challenge pushed me further. Today, I’m proud to lead a talented team, where I bring both technical insight and a strong focus on quality. The journey from middle developer to team lead has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m excited to continue driving impactful projects alongside my team at Ralabs.
Senior Software Engineer
Based in Poland
I jumped into Ralabs in 2022 and the pace hasn’t slowed down since. With extensive experience in developing startups, I knew I wanted to work on projects that are challenging and dynamic.
I love the challenge of solving complex problems, the space for creativity, imaginative people, and-most importantly-having a real say in product, decisions, and outcome. When I first started, there were just a couple of developers, and now, we’ve grown into a much larger team, with a great expansion in the number of sub-projects. That growth told me we were on the right track. I feel heard, my ideas are valued, and I’m really involved with the work that I do. Over these years, we did a couple of major releases, including projects which I personally built from scratch.
This is not a place for shortcuts; everything is done with precision and care. And as for my own growth, I see how far I’ve come, and I’m confident about where I’m going.
Senior DevOps Engineer
Based in Portugal
I joined Ralabs as a DevOps engineer in the autumn of 2021, having taken on a critical migration project from an old UK hosting provider to AWS. This experience presented
numerous challenges that greatly enhanced my skills.
It taught me how to deliver efficient, scalable, secure, reliable, and cost-effective solutions. Since then, I have done several projects: designed new cloud infrastructures from scratch, improved the existing systems, solved problems of performance and security. I never felt stressed at Ralabs despite having multiple projects and a ton of tasks. The friendly and trusting atmosphere allows for a good work-life balance and knowledge sharing, and it inspires personal growth-my greatest values.
Currently, I actively participate in client discovery sessions, assist with project estimations, provide consulting to developers and clients on best practices, and soon hope to have the opportunity to lead a team of my own. I feel very grateful for this opportunity to work with such a talented team and am excited about the challenges ahead.
Senior Software Engineer
Based in Jordan
I joined Ralabs in December 2021 as a Front-End Engineer. After 1.5 years, I transitioned into a Full-Stack Engineer role, working on a range of projects across different industries.
Throughout my journey, Ralabs has been instrumental in my professional growth, offering invaluable guidance and mentorship that eased my shift into a full-stack position. I appreciate the supportive and dynamic work environment here, which has allowed me to expand my skill set and gain exposure to new challenges. Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue growing and contributing to innovative projects within the company.
What is Ralabs?
Company history
In 2025, our team grew from 113 to 141 people, reaching a 25% year-over-year increase. Roman represented Ralabs as a speaker at WAW Tech in Warsaw, while Andrew strengthened our thought leadership with two media publications and grew his LinkedIn community to more than 9,000 followers.
We completed seven business trips across the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Germany, and the United States, meeting partners and potential clients and signing 15 new projects. Throughout the year, we hosted eight webinars, published 14 new case studies, and launched a refreshed website design.
We expanded our service portfolio with two new offerings, ETL Development Services and Generative AI Development Services, strengthening our data and AI capabilities.
In 2023, we expanded our thought leadership, with Roman Rodomansky, COO and Co-Founder, sharing resilience approach insights with 100+ Israeli startups and Daniel Niiaziiev, our Head of Engineering, delivering a Ruby speech at the Pivorak conference. Additionally, our sales manager Yulia Matsyhon traveled to NYC for client meetings. We were honored to be featured in Harvard Business Review and named one of the top 100 fastest-growing agencies by Clutch. Roman also appeared on the HBR podcast “Leaders who make a difference.“
Ralabs collected a $35K donation to support Ukrainian refugees. In the face of the ongoing crisis, we committed these funds to provide essential resources and relief to those displaced by the war.
In 2022, we were recognized as a top B2B company in Estonia by Clutch, a significant milestone for us. We launched a new website, hosted 42 public events, and further specialized in healthcare and telemedicine. We signed 32 new project deals and opened job opportunities globally, becoming a truly international company.
This year, we built several volunteering projects, including BoycottRussia, and became a proud member of the Lviv IT Cluster. We developed and scaled our Software Quality Management to all clients. In Ukraine, we created a fully autonomous office capable of supporting 100 employees for 48 hours without interruption. Additionally, we donated about $15K to support Ukrainian refugees.
2021 was a year of continued growth as we expanded to over 70 team members, setting a company record. We launched an open referral program and established the Ralabs Design Agency as a stand-alone entity. This year, we introduced a new company slogan and values, reflecting our evolving identity.
By 2021, we had conducted 42 events and made a complete transition to a remote-first work model. We also started three exciting projects in the Technology & Entertainment industry, collaborating with clients like mola.tv, Inflight Dublin, and The Fridge TV. Our healthcare portfolio continued to grow with the engagement of FDS – PIFU. Additionally, our co-founders delivered a speech at the ODSC conference.
2020 brought its challenges, but we adapted by going fully remote. During this time, we were requested by EU governments to develop ed the first COVID-19 tracking app in the world and launched a mental health program to support our team. We also spun off the Ralabs Design Agency into a separate entity. Despite working remotely, we grew to 67 talents and moved into a new A1-class office. Our presence in healthcare continued to grow by engaging Choosing Therapy and Eckerd, and we took a business trip to London to attend one of the UK’s largest healthcare conferences with the RMSL team.
In 2019, we expanded our global presence. We participated in key conferences in Boston and California, where we hosted stands and built influentialimportant connections. We onboarded our second Fortune 500 client in the telecom sector and added eight new projects to our portfolio. This year also saw the implementation and launch of Skytango, the world’s first certified aerial and drone operations platform, as well as the development of an AR/VR app for Drawbrooklyn. We completed our first Machine Learning and Machine Vision project, The Waste Detector, which marked a significant milestone in our technical capabilities.
Our healthcare portfolio also grew with the engagement of Dental Referrals, which began a long-term relationship with RMSL (FDS back then). Additionally, during a business trip to Dublin, we signed Swrve, a new client working in the Mobile/TV marketing industry.
2018 was a milestone for Ralabs. We welcomed our first Fortune 500 client for a blockchain-related project and expanded our services with Data Engineering. Our strategic partnership strengthened with Capitalise, an award-winning UK fintech company. We also introduced an internal Machine Learning internship and began working with our first Data Engineering client – conDati. We held a strategy session in the Carpathians and formed a Board, which takes an important role in managing company operations and strategy.
This year also saw a business trip to the US, where we visited our clients and the MongoDB HQ office in NYC. We announced our Competence Matrix and began implementing company strategic OKRs. We also launched our first Monthly Digest, a practice we have continued ever since.
By 2017, we were on a fast track for growth. We won the Hromadske, the largest media in Ukraine, design and web development project and deepened our relationship with CR2 through a business trip to Dublin. With a growing team, we moved into a new office, where we introduced Ralabs merch and started hosting a events in the office. On the services side, we launched Python development and worked on a complex IoT project in the agriculture sector, and started two new fintech projects. We have also been involved in R&D with MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). We acquired our first EU client, Exponea.
In 2016, Ralabs was officially founded: by engineers for engineers. And this motto remained a foundation of creating the innovative yet enjoyable workplace that no one wants to leave. With a clear vision and strong experience, Andrew and Roman quickly set things in motion. We secured a long-term partnership with CR2 from Ireland, and new clients from New Zealand, both projects still continue to be one of our most significant collaborations. We also ventured into the healthcare space with our first project, BabyNoggin, and expanded our services to include UI/UX Design. That same year, we moved from a coworking space at iHUB in Lviv to our first dedicated office.
Before Ralabs was officially founded, Andrew Yasynyshyn and Roman Rodomansky were already making waves in the product development space. They started a company focused on creating innovative solutions, InvoiceMe, a tool similar to XERO. Soon after, they brought on 10g-force as a client, a cloud application for automation manual testing, continuing to build expertise and refine their approach to product development. Both Andrew and Roman were deeply involved in educating others, building personal startups, and growing as software experts.
