The challenge

LeafLink needed to scale its financial operations while maintaining reliability and compliance across multiple U.S. states. Rapid growth in transaction volume required new levels of automation for reporting, communication, and credit risk management. The engineering team sought additional backend capacity to optimize data flow and enable integration with third-party financial systems such as LexisNexis.

What was done

Ralabs’ Python engineers joined LeafLink’s internal team to enhance the platform’s financial automation layer and data infrastructure. The team designed and maintained microservices supporting automated sales reports, transactional communications, and credit evaluation workflows. Core data pipelines were restructured for better performance, scalability, and fault tolerance. LexisNexis integration was implemented to enable real-time risk assessment, ensuring secure and compliant financial operations.

Implemented features:

01

Automated spreadsheet ETL and generation – produced monthly sales data for retailers and brands.

02

Automated communication service – generated and sent order confirmations, invoices, and payment reminders.

03

Optimized data pipelines – improved performance, reliability, and maintainability.

04

LexisNexis integration – enabled faster, more reliable financial risk assessment for lenders.
