The client
Kyiv Media School is a Ukrainian educational hub focused on the development of independent journalism. It supports new generations of media professionals through practical training, workshops, and long-term programs. The school collaborates with editors, reporters, and media leaders across the country to strengthen the information ecosystem.
Client achievements:
Received High Performer, Best Estimated ROI, Fastest Implementation, and many other rewards on G2 at Summer 2024.
KMS works with an active network of local and international instructors, bringing real newsroom experience into the classroom.
The school maintains an active community that enables knowledge exchange and mentorship across cohorts
The challenge
The existing website no longer matched the school’s scale or structure. As new programs, course types, and media formats were added, the site became harder to manage and less effective in showcasing KMS’s work.
The client needed a fast, responsive redesign – not just visually but structurally. The new site had to support multiple types of content (announcements, course descriptions, resource pages) and be ready for future SEO scaling. No content migration was required, but the system had to support structured publishing moving forward.
What was done
Ralabs designed and developed the new website from scratch using WordPress. The focus was on clean architecture, fast loading, and SEO-ready infrastructure. The team implemented a flexible block-based structure tailored to the diverse types of KMS content.
The design team delivered a fresh and functional UI system based on existing KMS branding, with accessibility and clarity as top priorities. Editors can now manage content without tech support, using modular blocks and templates.
To ensure long-term performance, we configured DevOps best practices for deployment, optimization, and ongoing management.
